The Alpha Music / nTelos Pavilion 2010 Summer Concert Series Give-Away ending soon!
Well the summer is winding down, but there are still one more opportunity to catch a great show at the nTelos Pavilion courtesy of Alpha Music and the folks at the nTelos Wireless Pavilion in Porstmouth, VA.
You could win tickets to see Billy Idol on Wednesday, September 1st. Just drop by AlphaMusic and register. It's that simple. You do not have to purchase anything! The drawing will be held the day before the show and the cut-off for registration will be 4:00pm on the day of the drawing. Five lucky winners’ names will be drawn for each show and each wins a free pair of tickets. No purchase is necessary, but you must register in person at the store and tickets must be picked up in person at the store. You may register as often as you like, but only one time per day. You do not have to be present to win.

The Bass Club meets at 10:00am every 4th Saturday of every month and is hosted by Damien Wade and Dave Hufstedler. Bring your questions and your bass! This is " Bass 101 and BEYOND " and as always, it's FREE and open to the public. All ages & skill levels welcome. As always we will have give aways, reps, guest artists and you never know who will show up! See you there for the NEW improved Bass Club.

Learn the very basics of your instrument from our staff of trained musicians as they help you enjoy music in a laid back, comfortable and fun environment. From electric to acoustic, from any
manufacturer, bought from any music store; any and all guitars are welcome. Alpha Music invites everyone to come learn with us.
You'll learn tech tips on tuning and maintaining your guitar as well as the basic mechanics of your instrument from Alpha Music's in house staff. Instructors will be on hand to answer questions about one on one private in store lessons to accelerate your playing skill level. Also get a free evaluation of your instrument from Alpha's skilled guitar techs. This workshop is completely free and open to the public.
Please note that this month's meeting and next month's meeting will be at 10:00 am, so that we may bring you even more interesting events.
Effects nerds rejoice! Alpha's newest monthly event is here, the brand new Alpha Pedal Heads Club. Join our resident pedal junky Micah to explore the outer limits of sound. Each month we will be featuring extended demos of different effects, debuting new pedals, and covering topics such as pedal sequence, analog vs. digital,
power supplies, pedalboards, true-bypass vs. buffered, and much more! Plus we'll answer any questions you have about effects, so we're inviting everyone to come take part in this exciting new club. Even if you've never owned a stompbox, come find out all you need to know about getting started! The Alpha Pedal Heads Club meets the third Saturday of every month at 10am.
