Blues Session Standard Harmonicas
The Blues Session Standard Harmonicas (G, A, Bb, C, D, & F) are Diatonic with plastic combs and Chrome covers. If you start as a beginner, then you should be aware, that this is the mother of all tunings, the so called 'Richter-Tuning'. The ingenious finding of the 'Diatonic Harmonica' is the work of this man. Richter is said to be descent from the Bohemian area east of Klingenthal from a town called 'Haida'. It's not really proven, however it's fact, that the 'Richter Harmonica' is only called 'Haidaer' by Seydel's employees since the beginning of the production more than hundred years ago.
All this shouldn't bother you when starting to play harmonica. The only important thing is, that you cannot fail completely when you start the adventure playing harmonica with this tuning. Almost every great player has begun with it. With the emphasis on blow notes you start to play folk music within five minutes, if you take the draw you start to dive into the magic of Blues and Rock'n Roll, the musical style this product line is named after.
Blues Session Low Harmonica
The Blues Session Low Harmonica (LowD) is a diatonic harp with a stainless Steel cover in low tuning. It's common sense in harmonica building to have the G in the lowest tuning scale. Everything below is named "Low".
The usual range was ending down at LD (LowD) so far, because one needs very weighty reeds for this low notes. However, these reeds swing out very wide, and therefore the danger, that they could touch the covers is evident. This was standard until C.A.Seydels sons found a possibility to make very deep tunings possible.
Seydel Soft case The case will hold up to 14 Blues Harmonicas! However, this doesn't adequately describe it's features at all. For example: Seydel has included their Tool set Basic with it so that in future you can keep your harps AND your tools together without need to carry a heavy suitcase around with you. There is no more compact way!
