Kevin began playing music in school band classes, starting on trumpet and teaching himself to play the drums. After high school he started performing professionally in bands in the area, teaching drum lessons, teaching high school drumlines and earned his degree in Music Education from Old Dominion University. He was also a member of the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps Drumline and performed with the Virginia Wind Symphony. Kevin was a high school band director where he had the opportunity to teach many wonderful groups of students. Over the past 30 years Kevin has taught thousands of students from age 3 to 73.

With over three decades of experience in teaching and performing Kevin has developed teaching methods to accommodate the needs of students at any age and any level. Areas of study include Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced in Drumset, Concert Percussion and Marching Percussion, Music Theory, and Reading Music.

Kevin has helped hundreds of drummers expand their playing abilities in a fun and energetic learning environment.
